Your Money Left Receipts

We are six months into the year.

That is enough time for your money to tell the truth.

Not the truth you planned in January.

Not the truth you wrote in your notebook.

Not the truth you meant to organize after tax season.

The real truth.

What kept happening?

What kept getting delayed?

What kept costing more than expected?

What kept pulling from the same account?

What kept surviving on “I’ll figure it out”?

Your money left receipts.

July is where we stop explaining them away.

👇🏾Let's hop in.

The Wealth Minute

Your Money Has Been Keeping Score

Here is the part we do not always want to admit:

Your money has a memory.

✨It remembers what you said you were going to fix in January.

✨It remembers the balance you meant to pay down.

✨It remembers the account you kept dipping into.

✨It remembers the family request you covered again.

✨It remembers the decision you delayed because life got busy.

And by July, the receipts are hard to ignore.

Not because you are failing...because the pattern is talking.

At some point, it stops being a surprise and starts being a signal.

That is the part worth paying attention to.

Because if the first half of the year showed you the same issue more than once, the second half of the year needs more than good intentions.

It needs a decision.

💬 Mindset Shift: The receipt is not the problem. The receipt is proof of the pattern.

🕊️ Faith Note: Proverbs 4:7 reminds us that wisdom begins with understanding. Before you reject something or accept it, make sure you understand what you are agreeing to.

Bottom Line: If your money has been showing you the same receipt, July is not the month to explain it away.

Look back at January through June and name the one receipt your money keeps handing you.

The Freedom Path

Stop Treating Patterns Like Surprises

A receipt is proof that something cost you.

And some of the things that cost you money in the first half of the year also cost you peace.

🔎The debt you kept managing.

🔎The account you kept pulling from.

🔎The family need you kept covering.

🔎The insurance review you kept postponing.

🔎The retirement question you kept pushing to later.

🔎The tax concern you kept hoping would work itself out.

Those are receipts.

And if the same receipt keeps showing up, it may not need another explanation.

It may need a system.

Because just because you can carry it does not mean you should keep carrying it the same way.

So the question for July is not just:

Can I afford it?

The better question is:

What keeps costing me peace because I have not built a plan for it yet?

💬 Mindset Shift: The receipt is not here to shame you. It is here to show you where a better system is overdue.

🕊️ Faith Note: Proverbs 21:5 reminds us that diligent planning leads to abundance, but haste leads to lack.

Bottom Line: If your money left receipts, do not carry them into the second half of the year without a decision.

Wealth Moves

Choose the receipt that cost you the most peace:

Debt: Start with the Debt Action Plan.

Cash Flow or Access: Look at Cash Reserve.

Protection: Schedule a protection review.

Retirement: Schedule a retirement income conversation.

Taxes: Write down the tax question you keep avoiding.

Family Pressure: Name the boundary you need before the next request comes.

Coffee Chat Question

If we were to meet for coffee, what would you want to know?

Feel free to email me questions that will anonymously be added to this section during each edition.

“Lisa, what if the receipt is not really about money?”

Sometimes the numbers are only showing you where something else needs a decision.

Maybe the receipt is really about a boundary...or guilt...or trying to rescue everybody.

Maybe it is about avoiding a hard conversation...or living in a season that has changed, while still using an old plan.

That is why looking at the receipts matters.

Not because every answer is found in a spreadsheet.

But because your money will often point to the place where wisdom is needed next.

So before you ask, “How do I fix this?”

Ask: what is this receipt really connected to?

That question may show you the real next step.

💬 Mindset Shift: Sometimes the receipt is financial, but the decision is personal.

🕊️ Faith Note: Wisdom helps us see what the numbers alone cannot explain.

Bottom Line: Your money may be pointing to the conversation, boundary, or decision you have been avoiding.

⚡ Your Next Right Move

Pick one receipt.

Make one decision.

Not later.

This week.

Because the second half of the year does not need another explanation.

It needs your response.

That is how July begins.

🕊️ Faith Note: Psalm 90:17 says, “May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us...”

That is a strong prayer for the second half of the year.

Stay Awake Out There,
